Fabrizio Romano claims PSG have wielded the axe as they reckon Mbappe wants to quit when his deal expires next summer.

The Ligue 1 champions are eager not to lose 24-year-old Mbappe on a free transfer.

And they are now ready to listen to offers for their star man.

Real Madrid are thought to be leading the race for Mbappe.

They missed out on signing the World Cup winner last year.

And L’Equipe claims PSG fear Mbappe has already agreed personal terms to join them in 2024.

The French giants are now hoping other clubs come in for Mbappe before September’s transfer deadline, allowing them to cash in for a sizeable fee.

And the striker will also not travel with teammates for the upcoming pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.

Mbappe started and scored for PSG in tonight’s 2-0 friendly win over Le Havre.

He has 212 goals in 260 games for his club following a move from Monaco in 2017.

Real are on the hunt for a new striker after losing Mbappe’s former international teammate Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.

And they have shown their desire to sign football’s best young talents, having already splashed out on Jude Bellingham this summer.
